Located
a couple of km from the village of Aldeacentera,
about 10 km from the city of Trujillo and 250km south-west of Madrid,
we chose this airfield for the good conditions it offers for our
PPG-Comparison event. Big enough to host a high number of pilots
during this weekend fully dedicated to paramotor, it also offers
the perfect infrastructure for a proper welcome to partners and
public.

The
field is located in a unique area that recalls the Pre-Romanic and
medieval history, in a flat area with plenty of alternative landing
fields that will make pilots of all levels feel confident in their
flights.

The
airfield of Aldeacentenera has a paved track 350m long, and wide
space for tidy and safe launches and landings. The track will be
mainly used for low-altitude flight exhibitions by manufacturers,
dealers and professionals who will show us their latest products
in action, and their own abilities as pilots!
This is also the working place of the manufacturer of PPG-trikes
Airges, which they will let us use as the testing
laboratory of this Comparison event.
At the field there’s also a small bar and terrace, where we
hope to take care of the basic needs of our guests and companions.
It will also be the place to share a beer and the stories of the
day with flying mates, or where the non flying companions can spend
some relaxed time.
Next to the field there is the municipal complex "Castro Celta",
with toilettes and showers, and conference rooms that we will be
able to use for screening videos and hosting technical talks, and
some will be offered to registered pilots as basic accommodation
in their sleeping bags. Free camping will be available
for registered pilots in a special area at the airfield.
How
to get there:
From Madrid, take the A-5 highway (‘Madrid-Badajoz’)
until kilometer 240, where you have to take the exit to “Torrecillas
de la Tiesa” (east direction). In Torrecillas continue to
Aldeacentenera (follow the sign). Once you enter the village, pass
the municipal swimming pool on your left and take the first road
to the left towards "El Ejido" (there’s a sign there),
and left again on a paved road that will take you to the airfield.
From Badajoz, take the A-5 highway to Madrid and
follow the directions above.
