The
Kinetik FR is the first Windtech glider that incorporates a reflex profile. It has an aspect ratio of 5.6, with plastic rods on the leading edge and, at the moment, it is available in 3 sizes.
We tried the size L and found that it has an intermediate-glider’s nature: it feels stable and conveys confidence. It offers easy inflation (in the video we had the trimmers totally closed at the time of inflation and it looks a little strange; it pauses, and then places above the head), the trimmer of the reflex works perfectly and gives the wing high solidity when it is time to navigate. The KFR has very effective mini-controls for steering in reflex mode.
We loved turning with the KFR and the energy that builds up; it is a well-balanced glider with a good compromise between speed, stability and maneuverability.
The speed system is short and effective; we measured
+56 km/h top speed. We had the feeling that it could be longer but at Windtech told us that it is exactly designed this way so that the glider keeps a high safety level and it is, therefore, suitable for most paramotor pilots.
While we complete our review with all our impressions, you can watch this video with the Kinetik Full Reflex in action.
