Results of the Tests done during the Ojovolador PPG Comparison 2006:

Category HEAVY.
Recommended pilot weight: 100 kg.
Estimated thrust used to reproduce level flight: 42 kg.

Units used: Consumption: Lt/hour - Noise: decibels - Thrust: Kg - Temperature: ºC - Pressure: hp - Humidity % - LF=Level Flight

* Click" on a parameter to organize the data according to the factor you want to observe. Please check the Notes below the table – relevant for some of the results.
** Before you see these results you must have read our advice and explanations to use the data, in the Intro page.
*** THRUST: Remember that the thrust results are not absolute but references, and cannot be compared with total fidelity due to the different atmospheric conditions at the moment of each test. When you observe the thrust results please also check out the time, temperature, pressure and humidity at the moment of the test, as these factors affect thrust more than they affect any other parameter.
Please check the Notes below the table too.

Important notes:
*** The fuel tank capacity is in all the cases as announced by the manufacturer
**1 The exhaust gasket had a crack – possible loss of thrust
**2 The propeller shaft was not in line with the thrust sensor by 2 cm, with a possible loss of 2Kg of thrust.
**3 The spark plug cable was covered by a thick insulating sheath so RPMs were registered by measuring rpms of the propeller and its reduction rate.
