Results of the Tests done during the Ojovolador PPG Comparison 2006:

Category STANDARD
Recommended pilot weight: 80kg.
Estimated thrust used to reproduce level flight: 35 kg.
Units used: Consumption: Lt/hour - Noise: decibels - Thrust: Kg - Temperature: ºC - Pressure: hp - Humidity % - LF=Level Flight

* Click" on a parameter to organize the data according to the factor you want to observe. Please check the Notes below the table – relevant for some of the results.
** Before you see these results you must have read our advice and explanations to use the data, in the Intro page.
*** THRUST: Remember that the thrust results are not absolute but references, and cannot be compared with total fidelity due to the different atmospheric conditions at the moment of each test. When you observe the thrust results please also check out the time, temperature, pressure and humidity at the moment of the test, as these factors affect thrust more than they affect any other parameter.
Please check the Notes below the table too.

Important notes:
*** The fuel tank capacity is in all the cases as announced by the manufacturer
**1 The propeller shaft is not in line with the thrust sensor by 1 cm, with a possible loss of 1Kg of thrust. On a second test during the afternoon this unit gave max thrust of 48.3 kg.
**2 A special spark plug in this unit caused interferences with the sensors: jumps in the temperature readings.
**3 The Paramotor tested is not a new one; it was used for demos in some events in Europe. A break in the exhaust gasket affected its performance on the test bench (loss of thrust).
**4 It lost 1 kg of thrust when the engine reached its max. temperature.
**5 We squeezed the bulb of the fuel circuit more than necessary to fill it which made the start quite difficult. The rest of times it started in 1 or 2 attempts. On the previous day, this unit gave 5 kg more of max thrust on the test bench.
