Friday June 30th: Training Task from Les Gets

With some north wind forecasted for today, the competing pilots gathered at the take-off of Les Gets (Mont Chery, 1826m) for a training task. The idea was to fly around the valley so the pilots know the area, and land at the headquarters in Morzine. The weather is sunny and warm and there’s a good forecast for the next 3 days.

Current female European Champion Petra Krausova (CZ, MacPara Magus) arrived today with only one thing in her mind: to have some good flying. “It’s difficult to have expectations, so we’ll see… If the weather is good we could have some good tasks. It’s a nice place“, commented Petra.

Tomorrow is the first official day of the Europeans but the first task will be flown on Sunday.
