The young Swiss pilot (Advance) won the task today, followed by yesterday’s task winner and world champion 2001 Luca Donini (IT, Gradient Avax), who is leading these Europeans after 4 tasks. At first, everybody thought it was Donini the 1st at goal -even us! (sorry!) The present champion Chrigel Maurer was on the 2nd position after the 3rd task. Ewa Wisnierska (DE, Advance) was the first woman in goal, with Petra Krausova (CZ, Mac Para Magus) in 2nd place. The 91 km task concluded today with 80 pilots in goal, in a day that began with smooth conditions but little by little got more powerful, with areas of strong turbulence during the course. The flight was demanding but at the same time the pilots enjoyed some magnificent views of the alpine summits. After the 3rd valid task Donini was 1st in the general results, with Chrigel Maurer 2nd and Christian Tamegger (AU, Gin Boomerang 4) 3rd, but Tamegger did not complete the task today, so the classifications will probably change. After the first 3 tasks, the ranking by countries has Switzerland 1st, Italy 2nd and Austria 3rd. *Results in our Results page.Â
